When I was a kid, the dentist would come to our school. He would bring a bunch of pink tablets for all us kids to chew. When we were done we would all have pink smiles. The dye from the tablets would show where we had plaque on our teeth. It was obvious that we all had plaque built up on our teeth. Even though none of us had a toothache, it became obvious that everyone single one of us kids needed to go to the dentist. And so dentistry changed. It was no longer just a practice where only people in severe pain would go get a rotten tooth extracted. Now people went to get their teeth cleaned and checked before they were in any pain at all.
Chiropractic needs to build the same awareness. It is a tragedy that every single child is not being checked and adjusted by a chiropractor in this day and age. If I had a dime for every adult who told me that they wish their parents brought them to a chiropractor when they were a kid, I’d have a lot of dimes!
I was in a pre-school yesterday speaking to about sixty 4, 5 and 6 year olds. They probably all go to a dentist, but sadly, very few go to a chiropractor. That is why I donate my free time to go to these schools and speak. Unfortunately, I can’t just have them chew some pink tablets that show where they are subluxated.
I did have a fantasy idea.
The day before I go to the school, send the kids home with a notice that says to send them to school with a bathing suit the next day. Then we have them line up with their backs to me and I spray them all with this special dye that only sticks to areas of the back where there are subluxations. Then they could go home and show their parents where their life channels are shut down.
We could send them information explaining what a subluxation is, and how it steals from anyone who has one. We could explain how once we adjust those subluxations, the child will be improved in all areas of life. They would learn that it is not about a back ache or a neck ache, it is about LIFE!
It will improve their overall health.
It will improve their ability to concentrate.
It will improve their athletic ability.
It will improve their ability to perform art.
It will improve their social interactions.
And as each child gets better, the world gets better.
Now I just need someone to come up with the formula for that special dye that sticks to areas that are subluxated.
